Choosing Contraband Detection Tools Based on Results

Campbell/Harris Security Equipment Company (CSECO) is one of the most trusted names when it comes to contraband detection equipment. The two most prominent of these are the Buster K910G Density Meter and the Perfect Vision V20 Videoscope Inspection System. Why do the majority of US law enforcement agencies prefer CSECO’s tools and why should you choose them, too?

The Buster Density Meter is CSECO’s first product. The first and original version of the Buster is the Buster K910B which was created by the company’s founder Patrick J. Campbell with significant contributions from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents during the mid-1980s.

Since it first came out, the Buster K910B had been trusted US law enforcement agencies, including of course, the CBP. It is also used by the US State Department, the Department of Homeland Security, and other federal, state and local law enforcement. Nothing else could bring results more effectively than the Buster, as it was able to detect, identify, and help officers seize billions of dollars worth of illegal contraband in particular. The Buster K910B had also been able to intercept the transportation of illegal contraband items – illegal narcotics and drugs as well as currency and other valuable items — at airports, seaports, terminals, checkpoints, and along the borders.

Credit the success of the Buster to its sophisticated technology — the low-intensity gamma radiation and scintillation detector. This type of technology enabled law enforcement officers to scan a variety of materials (ranging from wood to metal) and detect several types of contraband (ranging from narcotics to currency as well as weapons and explosives).

Not only that, Buster’s technology also allowed the officers to scan quickly and accurately, as it picks up four readings per second and the gamma rays penetrate into the materials being scanned by six inches in depth. Gamma Rays reflect back towards the Buster, which allows the Buster to establish it’s readings. This manner is called “backscatter technology.” When the Buster notifies the user that the contraband is most likely hidden in that particular object being scanned, it can the user both visual and audible alarms.

Plus, the Buster is also capable of detecting additional external radiation in the atmosphere. How? It is also equipped with “RAD-Aware” technology. It enables first responders to establish safety perimeters in the event of a dangerous radioactive leak like a dirty bomb detonation.

The beloved Buster K910B has been updated to Buster K910G! Now you have more reasons to choose Buster over competing density meters, as it is made safer and more convenient than ever. The K910G doesn’t have any lead-based internal components (which are present in the K910B) which are considered potentially hazardous to people, animals and the environment.

While the Buster is a long-established product, the Perfect Vision V20 Videoscope Inspection System, on the other hand, is one of CSECO’s newest. It has already earned praises for its durability, ease of use, and safety. This convenient, one-unit device has surpassed the existing fiberscopes on the market today.

The most prominent feature of the Perfect Vision V20 is of course the 5-inch, multi-directional, high-resolution color LCD display. This large screen allows the user to scan objects while maintaining visibility and awareness of his immediate surroundings. The thin, tungsten-coated shaft is durable. Since it doesn’t contain fiber optic cables which are featured in fiberscopes, the Perfect Vision V20 doesn’t break as easily and thus doesn’t need repairs as often.

The large screen also features a push-button dimming and image resolution that is 10 times that of a leading fiberscope! It also has a slot for external storage (SD card) which can save up to 8,000 photos or six hours video evidence.

A lot of companies say that their visual inspection tools are safe, but how many of them are certified safe? The Perfect Vision V20 Videoscope was certified safe by the Underwriters Laboratory, the world’s leading name in product testing. It means that it’s safe to use in and around high-risk locations such as gas tanks.

CSECO’s Buster K910G Density Meter and Perfect Vision Videoscope System are durable, reliable, accurate, and safe to the user and the environment. They help law enforcement officers detect and seize millions of dollars worth of contraband items as well as illegally procured currency. Choosing CSECO’s contraband detection equipment over the competitors will make them perfect partners in busting illegal drugs and smuggling.
