For Successful Contraband Detection Use Tools by CSECO

Searching and seizing contraband is no mean feat for interdiction officers and other law enforcement agents. They need reliable contraband detection tools to help them achieve more effective results.

Campbell/Harris Security Equipment Company (CSECO) is the pioneer of contraband detection equipment manufacturing. Its first product was the Buster K910B Density Meter, aka Buster. It was invented by the company founder Patrick J. Campbell with input from the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents during the 1980s.

For many years the Buster has been highly recommended and used by the most government-backed law enforcement agencies across the United States. It is especially helpful when detecting vehicles that pass through the border. Despite its being called the “gold standard” of contraband detection, CSECO recently came out with an update of the K910B, the new Buster K910G!

The Buster K910G retains the sophisticated technology of the K910B. It still emits the low-intensity gamma radiation and scintillation detector which enables the officers to scan through different types of material that includes metal, wood, reinforced plastic, stone, brick, and even organic matter such as dirt and water.

This technology also enables the user to do quick inspections and identify different types of concealed contraband which include narcotics, illegal drugs, currency, alcohol, weapons, and explosives. And not only that, the Buster K910G includes RAD-Aware technology which can detect abnormal quantities of radioactive leaks. It enables first responders to set up safety areas to bring other inspectors as well as civilians far from the dangerous effects of radioactivity.

The K910G is now designed more ergonomically. It is also safer for the user because it doesn’t have any lead-based interior parts.

The Buster can make fast and accurate readings. It has its own limitations, but just a few — which include reading on gas tanks. For this instance, users need a competent partner for the Buster K910G, the Perfect Vision V20® Videoscope Inspection System.

The Perfect Vision V20 Videoscope is the tool to beat the leading fiberscopes on the market. As it comes in one piece, it is completely easy to use — no need for cumbersome attachments such as cables. The Perfect Vision V20 Videoscope works in the same manner as the leading fiberscopes on the market. However, it offers much, much more.

It has 5-inch color LCD display, and a push-button dimming and digital zoom which are 10 times that of the leading fiberscope. The big screen will enable the user to see what he’s inspecting without losing sight of his immediate surroundings. This means the officer using it will be safer.

This Perfect Vision V20 doesn’t have glass fibers unlike the leading fiberscopes, so it cannot be damaged easily. The Perfect Vision V20 has a 2mmx6mm tungsten-protected shaft equipped with two-way articulation and a powerful LED lighting. The shaft can be poked or inserted into areas that are deep or narrow or other inaccessible areas for the Buster to reach.

The Perfect Vision V20 Videoscope makes the perfect partner to the Buster K910G because it helps further confirm what hides beneath the particular surface that the Buster has already detected. The Perfect Vision V20 can also be used during the evening or in dark locations, so inspectors can use it anytime, anywhere.

The Perfect Vision V20 Videoscope Inspection System is also certified safe by the Underwriters Laboratory (UL), which means that it can be used in high-risk areas such as fuel tanks. It was the first visual inspection tool to have this distinction. Some companies have declared their own visual inspection tools to be safe, but how many are certified safe by a legitimate safety certification company?

Buster K910G Density Meter and the Perfect Vision V20 Videoscope are already exceptional on their own. But when used together, they can increase the chances of locating hidden contraband. When successful contraband detection is concerned, nothing is better than the tools by CSECO.

Tony Harris, President and CEO, and Pat Campbell, founder, of CSECO explain about the Buster density meter and other contraband detectors.
