Is It Still Possible to Get the CSECO CT-30 Kit?

You may have heard of the CT-30 Contraband Team Detection Kit's upgrade to the CT-40 because of the inclusion of the new and improved tools:

1) Buster K910G density meter – In terms of functionality, the Buster K910G density meter works the same as the Buster K910G, effectively detecting and locating contraband due to its low-intensity gamma radiation and back scatter scintillation detector.

Just like the K910B, the K910G can detect many kinds of contraband like narcotics, illegal or prescribed drugs, cash, weapons, and explosives. It still also features the RAD-Aware feature which detects the presence of radiation, allowing the first responder to keep the civilians safely away from radioactive leaks (such as dirty bomb detonation).

But the Buster K910G, unlike the K910B, has no potentially dangerous lead-based components, and its radioactive source is now 25% less than its nearest competitor. This makes the Buster K910G the safest density meter yet!

2) Perfect Vision V20 Videoscope Inspection System – This tool is distinctive for its 5-inch LCD color display that provides clear and vivid images and its and thin, flexible, articulating fuel-safe shaft. Its unique design allows for closer and more detailed visual inspections on suspected areas that are otherwise hard to access (like gas tanks and upholstery). Another good thing about the Perfect Vision V20 Videoscope is that it allows the drug interdiction agent to see clearly into the suspect area without losing visibility to his immediate surroundings – result is lesser chances of suffering eye fatigue.

But what is the best of all about the Perfect Vision videoscope? It has obtained a safety certification from Underwriters Laboratory (UL) which means that it can be used even in hazardous locations (such as fuel tanks) since it is proven to be a non-incendive equipment.

Through this upgrade of the CT-40 kit, Campbell/Harris Security Equipment Company (CSECO) promises quicker, more detailed, more accurate and even safer examinations for hidden narcotics, cash, weapons, explosives and other forms of smuggled goods.

With the CT-40 kit now available, many people in the law enforcement field who are familiar with the CT-30 kit (or have even used it) may wonder, “Is the CT-30 still available?” or “Is it still possible to get the CT-30 kit?”

The answer is, yes, the CT-30 Contraband Team Detection Kit is still available on CSECO's store and people still can purchase it. However, you cannot expect that the CT-30's contents will be the same as the CT-40, although the Buster K910B has been also upgraded to K910G.

While the CT-30 Contraband Team Detection Kit doesn't have the Perfect Vision V20 Videoscope, it still has the FV Series Fiberscope. It features two-way articulation which enables the user to inspect into a suspected area – such as a gas tank or a dashboard – in a full 360-degree view.

As the name implies, the FV Series Fiberscope has a bundle containing 16,000 glass fibers. It also comes with an integrated powerful LED light, which is ideal for inspecting darker areas. The bundle is then covered with a heavy duty, fuel-resistant tungsten coating. The FV Series Fiberscope may do fine on its own, but its effectivity in detecting hidden contraband is further enhanced when it us used together with the Buster density meter and contraband detector.

The CT-30 Contraband Team Detection Kit still contains other tools such as the PN-Series Inspection Probe Kit, Leica Laser Range Meter, PM-10 Extension Inspection Mirror with High Intensity Flashlight, and the CT-30 Customer Carrying Case with Wheels to store the tools when not in use.

CSECO's desire to diversify its products gives its customers lots of options that will enable them to purchase certain contraband detection equipment, depending on their specifications, needs and budget.
